About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support our manufacturing operations in Sydney. You’ll play a key role in keeping equipment running smoothly through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, while helping reduce downtime and improve overall performance. This role suits someone hands-on, safety-focused and confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with mechatronics or automation experience. 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Carry out safe work practices and follow WHS&E requirements.
  • Complete preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Perform corrective maintenance quickly and effectively to support production.
  • Conduct equipment calibration and routine safety checks.
  • Record and track maintenance activities using CMMS and MS Office tools.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, action plans and improvement proposals.
  • Support subcontractor and service provider management.
  •  Provide technical input for tooling, equipment upgrades and new machinery selection.
     

Desired Skills and Experience

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Hands-on experience in repairs and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate IV in Engineering (Maintenance) or equivalent; Fitter/Toolmaker experience ideal.
  • Strong skills in mechanical, mechatronics or control systems servicing and repairs.
  • Confident using hand tools, testing equipment and calibration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete work within set timeframes.
  • Strong understanding of safe work and WHS&E practices.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong judgment, initiative and the ability to work independently.
