About the role
As a People & Culture Advisor, you will provide professional, practical HR support to leaders and employees within our operations team. You’ll play a key role in promoting a positive workplace culture, supporting employee engagement, and helping the business attract, develop, and retain talent. Working closely with leaders, you’ll offer trusted advice across employment relations, health and safety, onboarding, learning and development, and people initiatives helping align people practices with organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Managers with employment relations matters including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
Promote a safe, healthy, and engaged workplace culture in partnership with leaders and the H&S team
Support onboarding and induction processes, ensuring a positive new starter experience
Contribute to organisational development initiatives such as engagement, performance reviews, succession planning, and retention strategies
Support learning and development activities, including identifying training needs and coordinating development initiatives
Assist with recruitment and talent acquisition activities alongside the Recruitment Advisor
Maintain HR documentation, policies, position descriptions, and employment agreements
Provide people reporting, insights, and analytics to support informed decision making
Build strong working relationships across the business and with external partners as required
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring to the role
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as an HR Advisor, or similar role
Strong knowledge of employment relations, HR policies, and employment legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail with sound judgement and problem‑solving skills
Professional integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience in manufacturing or unionised environments is advantageous
