Job Description

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our Hamilton team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll play a key part in supporting production and warehouse operations by ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working closely with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams, you’ll help maintain inventory accuracy, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure goods move through the business safely and on time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods from suppliers, production, and branch transfers.
  • Pick, pack, and supply materials to production lines based on job orders and factory supply requests.
  • Process sales orders, transfer orders, and warehouse inventory movements accurately.
  • Operate Epicor, RF scanners, and SmartFreight systems to manage inventory and shipments.
  • Load export containers and prepare shipping documentation in line with customs and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counts, investigate stock discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support stock replenishment activities and maintain strict FIFO inventory practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support 5S housekeeping standards
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring to the role

  • Current Class 1 Driver Licence.
  • Current forklift certifications for counterbalance and reach forklifts.
  • Multi‑directional forklift certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in warehouse inventory control and stock management.
  • Experience using ERP systems and RF scanning technology.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of MPI and New Zealand Customs compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills
